Ici et Là (meaning ‘here and there’ in French) first opened its doors in 2001 in the heart of Sydney’s Surry Hills. Founded by Andrew Forst, the store became a beloved landmark—a slice of France in Australia.
For over twenty-five years, Andrew built a loyal following for his curated collection of vibrant striped fabrics, canvas deckchairs, and unique objets de charme. His vision brought the timeless artistry of French weaving to Australian homes and established a heritage that we are proud to protect.
In 2026, Andrew chose to entrust his legacy to his long-time friend of over twenty years, Thibaud Cau-Cécile, and his wife Mikayla.
Thibaud, a veteran of the Australian design and furniture industry ( Life Instyle, Denfair ), and Mikayla are honored to lead Ici et Là into its next chapter. This transition is born of a deep mutual respect and a shared commitment to the craftsmanship that has defined the brand since its inception.
